APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF LIFEGUARD
Applications are invited for the post of Lifeguard with the National Conservation
Commission.
Candidates must be between the ages of 18 – 35 years, be competent
swimmers and be in good health. Selected candidates will be required to
undergo three (3) months of training as well as a medical examination which
would include a test for substance abuse before being recruited into the
Lifeguard Service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should possess at least two (02) O’ Level Caribbean Secondary
Education Certificate (CSEC) (CXC) one of which should be English A.
DUTIES:
- To carry out surveillance of activities of patrons on beaches as assigned.
- To perform lifesaving and first aid duties as required.
- To take preventative measures and give safety instructions to beach
patrons at the areas to which he/she is assigned. - Any other related duty that may be assigned.
WEEKLY WAGE:
Lifeguard will be paid a weekly wage at Category VIII.
