APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF LIFEGUARD Applications are invited for the post of Lifeguard with the National Conservation Commission. Candidates must be between the ages of 18 – 35 years, be competent swimmers and be in good health. Selected candidates will be required to undergo three (3) months of training as well as a medical examination which would include a test for substance abuse before being recruited into the Lifeguard Service.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should possess at least two (02) O’ Level Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) (CXC) one of which should be English A. DUTIES: To carry out surveillance of activities of patrons on beaches as assigned. To perform lifesaving and first aid duties as required.

To take preventative measures and give safety instructions to beach patrons at the areas to which he/she is assigned. Any other related duty that may be assigned. WEEKLY WAGE: Lifeguard will be paid a weekly wage at Category VIII.
